Get ready to be transported to the 1920s when you step through the Carrie’s Corner gates this September ! But don’t worry – prohibition will most definitely NOT be in effect here.
Tray Dahl & The Jugtime Ragband tear down the house with the explosive sound of 1920’s and 30’s New Orleans. Their “speakeasy” or “prohibition era” music incorporates a little blues, a bit of swing, and a pinch of old time gospel. Add to that Tray’s powerful 1920’s and 30’s inspired vocals, often described as Bessie Smith meets Louis Armstrong, and audiences feel like they’ve stepped straight into a 1920’s theatre house.
Tray’s original tunes, some of which she sold to Universal Music Group, are often mistaken for Jazz-Age compositions and are being used in movies, radio and television throughout the world..
Doors at 7, show at 8 and the band will play 2 sets.
